Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus)

Snowy owl in oak corner case with cast rock face background. the rock face was cast locally by abseiling down a cliff face to cast on location the mold was then taken back to the taxidermy workshop to be cast in fiberglass. It was then fitted into the Oak Corner Case, painted and ice effects added.

This pair of Snowy Owls in a corner case was shown at the 2014 UK Taxidermy Conference as it was being collected the birds won the “Best Cased” and “Best Groundwork” Trophy’s.
